Description

A-105

A nineteenth-century granite granary on the edge of a village in the Alto Minho. The walls are seventy centimetres thick and in very good condition; the roof and floors are gone.

Our proposal places a free-standing timber structure inside the stone shell. It carries the new floors and roof without touching the old walls, and can be taken out again without trace.

The application was submitted to the municipality in September. We expect a decision early next year.
