Description
A-103
A four-metre-wide plot between two party walls, typical of the fishing streets of Matosinhos. The only generous dimension was height.
We cut a light well through all four floors and cast the stair inside it in one continuous pour. Every room opens onto the well, so daylight reaches the ground floor kitchen from a rooflight eleven metres above.
The structure is complete and the stair has been struck. Interior works are under way, with handover planned for spring.
