Description

A-104

A 1930s flat in Bonfim had been divided into six small rooms over the years. We took out every partition that was not structural and found two good rooms underneath.

The new walls are cabinets: oak joinery holds the wardrobes, the bookshelves and a sliding door that closes the bedroom off from the living room. A skylight cut into the roof brings north light into the deepest part of the plan.

Terrazzo floors, lime plaster and oak. The budget went into the joinery and almost nowhere else.
